Over at NBC, things are moving fast!


is online, and provides some pictures, information and clips. And believe it or not, they already have a message board, though the show won’t air before fall. Click here if you dare.

Ah, isn’t he a wonderfully snotty git! And there’s no American accent this time, which means I am happy and New Jersey is grateful. Sacrificing that squeaky bone to the TV Gods wasn’t in vain, after all.

Ok, ok, maybe I got a wee bit carried away there, but whether thousands or millions cheer:


Ensemble drama “Smash” is a show-within-a-show vehicle about a group of people who come together to put on a Marilyn Monroe-themed Broadway musical. Anjelica Huston, Brian d’Arcy James, Christian Borle, Debra Messing, Jack Davenport, Katharine McPhee, Megan Hilty and Raza Jaffrey co-star in the hour, from executive producers Steven Spielberg, Craig Zadan, Neil Meron and creator Theresa Rebeck.

And for our German friends: Deutsche News.

The news doesn’t really come as a big surprise (not that I’d put it beyond NBC to turn down Steven Spielberg, but come on…), but it’s great news nevertheless.  Go, Sparky, go!
