All good things must come to an end, and who am I to argue with Nelly Furtado? Unfortunately, it was never possible to fully restore the Goodboy, Sparky! Website, and the days of website are probably over, anyway, what with everybody hanging out on Instasnapfacetwitindr (or like me, binge-watching RuPaul’s Drag Race. So sue me, Dorothy).

Also, the last three years have been a bit of (well, monumentally) bollocks, healthwise, and while things are luckily looking much better now, I had to set priorities: Jack Davenport’s fans don’t really need a fansite, but I need my energy to live and make a living, sooo… I’ll pull the plug on the website on 4th of June, 2018. If there’s anything on Goodboy, Sparky! you like, download now, last chance!

Tumblr, Twitter and LJ accounts have already been deleted. This account here will stay up, because there’s a lot of information here which is still often visited, and I don’t want that to take away from you people. Have fun with it, my dears!

Thanks to everybody who contributed to the website for twelve marvellous years, to Jack Davenport for his work and of course to Sparky for inspiring the whole thing in the first place. Dismissed!

… unfortunately, he didn’t bring anything.

“We have unfortunatele to notify your about a MySQL1096 database losst of your Webhosting content.”

If you ever get a mail with that content, your website will look like this:

“We are very sorry about this issue and kindly ask you to create new database and import your backup.”

Too bad he backup of the new website is, for whatever BLOODY REASON not accepted, and all you get is error upon error upon error.

Bollocks to that. Christmas is just around the corner, and I will not spend it hitting my head on the keyboard. I’m currently uploading the last backup of the old website, which is outdated, but at least there and has many pretty pictures of Jack Davenport to look at. I’ll see what I can do about this problem next year.

“As a compensation we have added 1 month of free hosting to your account.”

Finally a trailer for The Key Man! And you will not only get to see Jack Davenport, but also the great, the fantastic, the one and only Mitzi, Elrond, Hugo Weaving! Woo-hoo! Yeah! Applause!

And now for something completely different.

If you don’t need visuals: here is something while you wait for Jack Davenport to finally record a reading of the telephone book:

Written by: Ian Caldwell
Narrated by: Jack Davenport
Length: 15 hrs and 36 mins
Unabridged Audiobook
$ 22.67

In 2004, as Pope John Paul II’s reign enters its twilight, a mysterious exhibit is under construction at the Vatican Museums. A week before it is scheduled to open, its curator is murdered at a clandestine meeting on the outskirts of Rome. The same night a violent break-in rocks the home of the curator’s research partner, Father Alex Andreou, a Greek Catholic priest who lives inside the Vatican with his five-year-old son.

I hope you all had a good start into 2015! This is just a short notice to let you know that the big move for Good Boy, Sparky! will take place on the weekend of

21st/22nd February, 2015

and that the website won’t be available for the majority of those days. Furniture is already moved now, though, so you might notice things changing and disappearing. Patience, patience, we’ll get there, eventually. Thanks! 🙂

Well, not for all his fans, but for the regulars of “Good Boy, Sparky!”

I’m very happy to share the news with you that a way has been found to save the website!

Not exactly in its current form, but with all information and pictures intact plus – and here comes the Christmas bonus – it will be updated again!

For that reason, the website will be unavailable for some time during the next weeks, you might be re-directed elsewhere or encounter the 404 of doom. No worries, please, nothing will be lost, and regular service should resume by mid-January. Thanks to the smart person who came up with a simple solution for the problem. Consider yourself firmly hugged.

And now I’m off on holidays. I wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a Bless Yule!

Remember to watch The Good Wife this Sunday, March 9, at 9pm Eastern on CBS. Jack guest stars as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, and we wouldn’t want to miss more of his American accent, now would we? 😉

Hopefully he’ll be doing more in the episode than simply testifying in a courtroom for a few minutes, but it’s better than nothing….
