And we even stuck to our deadline!

Good Boy, Sparky! is online again, and we hope you will like the new look!

As you know, the main reason for the move was to simplify the maintenance of the website for yours truly. Good Boy, Sparky! is now wordpress-based, which makes it a little less colourful, but updating waaaaay easier and faster for me (I can even update it from my smartphone!), and it comes with additional features for you. There’s a handy search box and drop-down menues (which you don’t have to use, the good old text-based links are still there).

The filmography is now up-to-date as well, with all the latest projects listed, as are the galleries.

The individual pages have changed, though, but with the new layout, it shouldn’t be difficult for you to find what you’re looking for, as the 404 page of doom will provide you with the menu. It will take a while for Google bots et all to index the new pages, but never mind.

Though we have checked the whole site three times over, it’s possible that you might encounter errors. In that case, we’d be really grateful for a heads-up.

Sooo… all that’s left for us to do now is wishing you “happy surfing!” and thanks for your patience. Now all we need is Jack Davenport to give us something to update!

I hope you all had a good start into 2015! This is just a short notice to let you know that the big move for Good Boy, Sparky! will take place on the weekend of

21st/22nd February, 2015

and that the website won’t be available for the majority of those days. Furniture is already moved now, though, so you might notice things changing and disappearing. Patience, patience, we’ll get there, eventually. Thanks! 🙂

Kingsman – Lancelot (Jack Davenport)

Well, not for all his fans, but for the regulars of “Good Boy, Sparky!”

I’m very happy to share the news with you that a way has been found to save the website!

Not exactly in its current form, but with all information and pictures intact plus – and here comes the Christmas bonus – it will be updated again!

For that reason, the website will be unavailable for some time during the next weeks, you might be re-directed elsewhere or encounter the 404 of doom. No worries, please, nothing will be lost, and regular service should resume by mid-January. Thanks to the smart person who came up with a simple solution for the problem. Consider yourself firmly hugged.

And now I’m off on holidays. I wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a Bless Yule!

“Good Boy, Sparky!” went online on 24th April, 2008, and it will go offline on 1st January, 2015.  This will give you plenty of time to download anything you like. The reasons are due to my life becoming busier and more complicated, some health issues I don’t want to get into and as a consequence, fewer hours being at my free disposal. I had to set priorities, and unfortunately, it became obvious during the last months that it’s not possible for me to update the website in a reliable manner (which is the way I feel such a website should be updated). The website can’t be handed over to a new management without sharing my financial and personal information, hence I won’t do it.

In a nutshell:

  • http://www.goodboysparky.net will go the way of the dodo. The url will stay to annoy the spammers and redirect to this blog here.
  • This blog will stay, it would leave too many dead links all over the place if I deleted it. The email address will continue to work.
  • Twitter will be deleted, tumblr will stay.

So it’s “Good Bye, Sparky!” now, and thanks so much to all of you who commented, contributed, fanned and squeed through the years. Keep on the latter two, and don’t forget who Sparky really was. Woof.

Remember to watch The Good Wife this Sunday, March 9, at 9pm Eastern on CBS. Jack guest stars as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, and we wouldn’t want to miss more of his American accent, now would we? 😉

Hopefully he’ll be doing more in the episode than simply testifying in a courtroom for a few minutes, but it’s better than nothing….

Good news for Jack Davenport fans — there’s a chance that he could be back on our TV screens on a regular basis again soon.

He has landed a co-starring role on a new pilot for ABC called Sea of Fire. Here are the details we know so far.

Fingers crossed that this pilot gets picked up by the network!

Suckage de luxe. This had potential; unfortunately, TV series don’t get the chance to grow and develop anymore, it’s either instant success or the axe. The pox on your houses, big wigs at ITV!

Now could somebody please cast Jack Davenport in something that will last? Not ending up dead would be a bonus. We don’t ask for too much, do we?

(Incidentally, this is post no. 222 – so how about a series lasting 222 episodes over 22 seasons?!)
